The History Behind LABCO

Labco Medical / Home-Healthcare Services was founded 10 years ago by Mr. Albert R. Warren, PhD, MT (ASCP), and Mrs. Warren, RN. After retiring at age 55 as Director of the Hematology Laboratories at Dr. Horacio Oduber Hospital, Mr. Warren and his wife recognized a growing need for home-healthcare services in Aruba. Together, they launched the island’s first home-healthcare service from their home, driven by a passion for care and innovation.

To build expertise in this emerging field, they completed specialized training programs in the United States and Puerto Rico. Over the past decade, Labco has grown from a small startup into the largest home-healthcare provider in Aruba, now operating from its own facility on Av. Milo Croes in Dakota, Oranjestad.

Today, Labco is supported by a dedicated team of 10 professionals, a part-time occupational therapist, and an on-call physician, and proudly leads the way in providing specialized care and mobility solutions for both residents and visitors with special needs.
